afoot often him from Toro to Campobasso, a distance of around 15
kilometers, to purchase the necessary material for his shop of cobbler.

loaves. |
In 1916 he was
called to the military service and he was assigned to the body of the

In that years Rodolfo Valentino was the rubacuore of more than few
American girls. The masculine youth of that epoch tried to imitate him
in everything. Gaetano, with his nice system smile, with his beautiful
way of acting and with his elegant way of dressing, in his environment
he was considered a double of Valentine. To Akron, Gaetano knew a
beautiful girl Elvira Falasca. In May 1927 they got married in the
church of Saint Marta.
In that times it was difficult to maintain a family. With his activity
of cobbler, Gaetano found great difficulties to overcome the period of
the economic disaster that the United States had to cross.
In that same critical time, that is in 1930, his child Roberto was born
and subsequently in the 1936 Joanne Marie. The shop of Gaetano became
more and more the meeting of all of its fellow townsman of the place.
It was always a pleasure for all of his friends to find themselves
together with the bosom friend Gaetano to remember and to tell the
events of their beloved Italy. "Guy" was always the center of the
conversations. With his smile and with his simple way, he shared what
concerned his Italy.
Gaetano has always had a devotion toward St. Mercurio, the patron of
Toro, his native country . In 1964, after the retirement, Gaetano and
Elvira they moved to the south California to unite themselves to their
family. And here they have lived. Elvira, in 1981 she is passed to good
life. Gaetano for grace of God continues to way of living surrounded by
his nephews and grandsons that adore him, also contended by the children
of Joanna and Roberto.
To the nice and juvenile Gaetano Cutrone (the photos testify it), to him
that on last May 10 has reached the 105 year-old beautiful age, and that
therefore he can boast to have touched three centuries (1800, 1900 and
2000), the congratulations also go some Editing of ToroWeb with the wish
