Among the population of Toro there are some people worthy to be
remembered, such as Fra Antonino from Toro, a laic Franciscan, who had
the gift of prophecy and of the multiplication of loaves.
Famous are also some great teachers of the 17th century, such as the
Magnos, the Trottas and Adriano De Santis.
Besides, we can't forget Martinangelo De Martino (1782-1850), lawyer
and deputy at the Parliament of Naples of 1848, and (1792-1872), deputy in 1848, superintended of Molise in
1860, well-known for his philosophical studies and for his private
school that attracted students from the whole region.
Native of Toro is the poet (1935), famous on a national level.
